I'm an artist, designer, and a techie! I founded a design studio that gained global recognition and was acquired—what an adventure! In 2024, I took a bold leap to start Happy Pet. Honestly, I never imagined I'd dive into the pet industry, but here I am!
Growing up, pets were more than just animals; they were family. This deep-rooted bond remained with me throughout my pursuits in design, technology, and startups.
A good friend of mine started a pet store in Bangalore, India. He invited me to join him as an investor and advisor, and I agreed without hesitation for two reasons: first, I love dogs and all kinds of pets; second, my friend is also a passionate dog lover with over 30 dogs on his farm.
After investing in his startup, I realised without a proper process and technology one cannot scale the stores to multi-locations.
Appointments were missed. Staff coordination was a mess. Inventory was everywhere. Customer data was scribbled on paper or stuck in someone’s WhatsApp. We had ambition, but no structure.
So, I did what any techie would do.
A single platform to handle grooming, boarding, appointments, inventory, staff, invoicing, analytics, and more. Something clean, smart, and designed with empathy for real-world use.
It worked. Beautifully.
We discontinued our outdated software that failed to communicate with our customers. Our customers became our primary focus, and we integrated WhatsApp to keep them informed about our products and services.
We expanded smoothly and stayed focused on what mattered: happy pets and happy pet parents.
And that’s when it hit me —
If this worked for us, it could work for everyone.
That’s how Happy Pet Tech was born.
Unlike most SaaS startups, we didn’t start with a pitch deck or an MVP for investors. We started with a broken process in a real pet store. We built for ourselves. We fixed the chaos first-hand. Then we built more. And better.
That authenticity shows. Every feature in Happy Pet Tech — from appointment reminders to customer notes and billing insights — came from real-world needs, not boardroom guesses.
During a casual visit to the UAE, I showed the platform to a few local pet businesses. I wasn’t selling — just sharing. To my surprise, they signed up instantly. Some were already using global tools, yet they loved what we had built — it was simpler, cleaner, and just made more sense.
That’s when we realized this wasn’t just a solution for Indian pet businesses.
It was a solution for every pet business — anywhere.
Today, Happy Pet Tech is expanding globally — starting with a bold mission to capture India and UAE’s pet care SaaS market by the end of the year.
We’re onboarding grooming salons, boarding facilities, vet clinics, and pet stores. We’re building partnerships, localizing features, and listening closely to the people who matter most — our users.
Because for us, this is not just a software product.
It’s a commitment to the pet care ecosystem. A promise to bring structure, support, and sanity to pet businesses, big or small.
At our heart, we’re still the same team that built Happy Pet Tech to solve our own pain points. But our vision has grown — and so has our impact.
We’re here to empower the people who care for pets. To simplify their workflows, support their growth, and help them focus on what matters most — giving pets the love and care they deserve.
